The upper handle clamp is an essential part that secures the handle to the sander frame. Here are the wear points to look out for and when it is necessary to replace this part:

1. Fastener and screw wear: The upper handle flange is usually attached to the sander frame using screws or bolts. Over time and with repeated use of the sander, these fasteners can become worn, loose or show signs of wear. It is important to check these fasteners regularly to ensure that they are tight and do not show signs of excessive wear. If the fasteners are damaged or if the clamp no longer holds firmly in place, it may be necessary to replace them.

2. Material wear: The upper handle flange itself may wear due to repeated use of the sander and the stresses to which it is subjected. Look for signs of wear such as cracks, deformation or material deterioration. If the flange is visibly damaged or weakened, we recommend replacing it.

3. If the upper handle clamp fails to hold the handle correctly in place on the sander frame, this can cause problems with the stability of the tool during use. If you notice any signs of loosening or excessive play despite proper tightening, it is necessary to replace the upper handle clamp.
