Zirconium Belts abrasive feature a distinctive blue colour. They are specially designed for working metal and hard materials, offering optimum efficiency when roughing. However, they are not generally recommended for finishing, as they can leave slight micro-scratches on surfaces. One of the major advantages is the ability of the grit to re-sharpen during sanding, extending its life. Average sanding can vary depending on the substrate, with an average of 50 to 60 square metres with belts and 90 to 100 square metres with discs. It is important to note that the quality of zirconium abrasives can vary, with zirconium content ranging from 20% to 60%, the latter being ideal for optimum performance, as offered by the range sold by Repex Floor.
