Lower sleeve flange
Lower sleeve flange for OURAGAN PLE TYPHON1&2 TORNADE sanders
The lower handle clamp on the Ouragan heavy duty sander is an essential part that secures the handle to the sander frame. Its main function is to hold the handle firmly in place, allowing the operator to control the tool in a stable and precise manner.
Here are the wear points to look out for and when it is necessary to replace this part:
1. Fastener and screw wear: The lower handle flange is usually attached to the sander frame using screws or bolts. Over time and with repeated use of the sander, these fasteners can become worn, loose or show signs of wear. It is important to check these fasteners regularly to ensure that they are tight and do not show signs of excessive wear. If the fasteners are damaged or if the clamp no longer holds firmly in place, it may be necessary to replace them.
2. Material wear: The lower handle flange itself may wear due to repeated use of the sander and the stresses to which it is subjected. Look for signs of wear such as cracks, deformation or material deterioration. If the flange is visibly damaged or weakened, we recommend replacing it.
3. If the lower handle clamp fails to hold the handle correctly in place on the sander frame, this can cause problems with the stability of the tool during use. If you notice any signs of loosening or excessive play despite proper tightening, you will need to replace the lower handle clamp.
The precise point at which you need to replace the lower handle flange will depend on factors such as how often you use your sander, how hard you sand and the quality of the original part. We recommend that you regularly check the condition of the lower handle flange when servicing your sander and replace it as soon as you notice any signs of significant wear, damage or malfunction. This will ensure the safety of the operator and that the sander handle remains securely in place.
As always, it is advisable to follow the Repex Floor manufacturer's recommendations for maintenance and replacement of specific components to maintain the optimum performance of your machine.
