Functions

A cable clamp on the frame of the Original BLE edging machine is used to secure and hold electrical cables or wires in place inside the machine. Its role is to ensure that the cables remain organised and secure, thus preventing the risk of pinching, damage to the cables or poor electrical contact.

Wear and replacement

Signs that the cable clamp needs to be replaced and the machine taken to Repex Floor, the manufacturer, or a professional after-sales service provider may include:

1. Visible damage: If the cable clamp has cracks, broken pieces, corrosion or other signs of wear or physical damage, it must be replaced to ensure the safety of the electrical cables.

2. Loose cables: If the cables are no longer held securely in place and are prone to excessive movement, this may indicate that the cable clamp is no longer functioning properly.

3. Poor cable organisation: If the cables inside the machine are not well organised and this causes tangles or wiring problems, the cable tie may be defective.

4. Risk of pinching: If the cable clamp does not hold the cables securely in place, there could be a risk of the cables becoming pinched, which could damage them or create an electrical hazard.
