The Zirconium belt 200*592 grit 24 abrasive is traditionally blue, and we strongly advise against buying a green disc. The grains on the latter are overheated and do not hold properly.

Zirconium is an ideal material for sanding metal. Its use allows for faster and more efficient sanding results on materials that are difficult to treat. It is particularly effective for roughing, but it can also cause micro-scratches.

Zirconium is a chemical element represented by the symbol Zr. It is a grey-white, hard and malleable metal, mainly found in nature in the form of a mineral called zircon.

These abrasives are generally made by mixing zirconium with other abrasive materials, then binding them with resin or rubber.
