Swivel wheel
Swivel wheel for Original BLE edger
The Swivel wheel on the wheel train of an Original BLE flanging machine plays an important role in making the machine easy to move. It is located at the end of the wheel train and allows the edging machine to pivot easily on its own axis. This makes it easier to move the machine from one place to another, which can be essential.
It is necessary to change the swivel castor in the following cases:
1. Excessive wear: If the castor shows obvious signs of wear, such as defective bearings, difficult rotation or physical damage, it is time to replace it. A worn caster can make moving the edger difficult and less precise. If it starts to leave marks on the support, it's time to change it.
2. Faulty bearing: If the bearings on the swivel castor are damaged or not working properly, this can lead to problems with the rotation, stability and manoeuvrability of the edger.
3. Incompatibility with the floor: If the edger is moved to a new working environment with a different floor, it may be necessary to change the caster to adapt to the floor conditions and ensure smooth movement.
4. Change of design or configuration: If the edging machine undergoes modifications or upgrades that require a different swivel castor in terms of size, load capacity or functionality, it may be necessary to change the part.
5. Obstruction or structural damage: If the caster is blocked due to obstruction, or has structural damage that compromises its integrity, it is recommended that it be replaced to maintain the safety and performance of the machine.
It is important to follow the edger manufacturer's recommendations regarding maintenance and replacement of parts. As a general rule, swivel castors should be replaced as soon as signs of wear or malfunction appear, to ensure that the machine operates smoothly.
