The 3M 4277 mask is a reusable half mask that provides lightweight, comfortable and effective protection against particles and vapours. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including painting and handling solvents, resins and adhesives.

Limitations of use

This mask does not provide oxygen. It must not be used in environments where the oxygen content is less than 19.5% (minimum value defined by 3M).

1. Do not use this mask as respiratory protection in atmospheres:
   • containing pollutants without sufficient warning properties, unknown pollutants, or pollutants that pose an immediate danger to life or health;
   • or in the presence of contaminants that may cause a significant thermal reaction with the chemical filters.
2. Do not modify, alter or attempt to repair the product.
3. Do not use the mask if you have a beard, moustache or any other facial hair that prevents a tight seal between the mask and your face.
4. Do not use when the concentration of contaminants is unknown.
5. Do not use for emergency evacuation purposes.
6. Leave the contaminated area immediately and replace the mask if any of the following situations occur:
   • damaged mask;
   • difficulty breathing or a noticeable increase in breathing resistance;
   • dizziness, discomfort or various disorders;
   • perception of unusual odours, tastes or irritation related to pollutants.
7. Always store the mask in an airtight container, away from contaminated areas, when not in use.
8. Use only in accordance with the instructions provided with the mask and its filters.
