Tampico is an all-natural plant fibre from Mexico, extracted from Agave Lechuguilla, a plant that grows naturally in the desert areas of northern Mexico. The extraction of this fibre involves neither cruelty to animals nor the use of chemicals.

Tampico has excellent properties, including high elasticity and exceptional resistance to chemicals. It also has a remarkable capacity to absorb and retain water, absorbing up to 65% of its own weight in water and releasing it when used. Its versatility is also an asset, as it can be prepared in different ways to adjust its rigidity and can be blended with other fibres to enhance its characteristics. In the industrial sector, for example, it is often combined with Palmyra to make industrial brushes.
