Resybrid CP-R is a single-component hybrid elastomer-based adhesive designed for full-surface bonding of solid or engineered wood flooring with board widths not exceeding 200 mm. Its solvent- and isocyanate-free formulation makes it a reliable solution that is safe for applicators, while guaranteeing high performance on site.
Thanks to its fast polymerisation and excellent adhesive power, Resybrid CP-R ensures a durable bond on all types of parquet flooring, including in configurations subject to high mechanical or thermal stresses.
Performance and technical benefits
This hybrid adhesive is distinguished by its elastic behaviour, which effectively compensates for the natural movement of wood and slight irregularities in the substrate. It also helps to improve acoustic comfort by reducing vibrations and attenuating impact noise.
Resybrid CP-R is perfectly suited for installation on heated floors, with full-surface bonding required. Its very low content of volatile organic compounds contributes to excellent indoor air quality and low environmental impact, while meeting current requirements for sustainable construction.
Areas of application and types of parquet flooring
Resybrid CP-R is intended for professional use in the installation of parquet flooring in new builds and renovations. It is suitable for bonding solid wood, engineered and multi-layer parquet flooring, as well as traditional, exotic, oily or heat-treated wood species.
It can be used on flat substrates that comply with DTU 51.2 and is particularly recommended for demanding installations, especially on underfloor heating systems. For large solid wood flooring, careful application is essential to ensure the durability of the bond.
Substrate preparation
The substrate must comply with the requirements of DTU 51.2 (NFP 63-202). It must be dry, sound, cohesive, clean and homogeneous, free of dust, grease, laitance, old adhesive, curing compounds or any other element that could impair adhesion.
The flatness of the substrate must not exceed 1 mm under a 20 cm straight edge and 5 mm under a 2 m straight edge. The moisture content of the substrate must be checked, preferably using a carbide bomb. It must not exceed 3% for substrates based on hydraulic binders and 0.5% for calcium sulphate-based screeds.
Where there are floor tiles that may be exposed to capillary rise, a damp-proof barrier must be installed.
Application and conditions of use
The temperature of the premises, the substrate and the adhesive must be at least +15°C during application and throughout the polymerisation process. The ambient humidity must be between 45% and 65% to ensure optimal installation conditions.
The adhesive is applied directly to the substrate using a B12 notched trowel, at a rate of 1,000 to 1,400 g/m². It is recommended to glue limited areas in order to lay the parquet on fresh adhesive, before a skin forms. The boards must be carefully pressed down to ensure good adhesive transfer to the back of the parquet.
For large boards or those with irregular flatness, temporary loading is recommended until complete polymerisation.
Technical data and packaging
Resybrid CP-R has a specific weight of 1.65 g/cm³. The skin formation time is approximately 70 minutes at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. The polymerisation speed is greater than or equal to 3 mm per 24 hours. The floor can be walked on after 24 hours, final setting is achieved after 48 hours and sanding or varnishing can be carried out after 72 hours.
The adhesive is packaged in boxes containing three 5 kg aluminium bags, with 40 boxes per pallet. The shelf life is approximately 18 months in the original unopened packaging, protected from moisture.
Safety and environment
Resybrid CP-R is a product intended for professional use only. Its solvent- and isocyanate-free formulation and very low VOC emissions have been validated by independent tests. It has undergone EUROFINS testing for VOC emissions and has FCBA certification attesting to its suitability for use in bonding parquet flooring.
The product must be stored in a well-ventilated area at a maximum temperature of +30°C.
