Prim Gold Primer 10L hard primer is a water-based primer specially formulated to enhance wooden floors. Designed to be applied before any Blanchon water-based floor varnish, it gives a warm finish, similar to the traditional finishes that are so popular. It enhances the natural colour of the wood, giving it a warm, deep tone without masking its grain. Thanks to its solvent-free composition, it is odourless and perfectly suited to demanding indoor environments.
Technical performance and simplified application
This hard primer benefits from advanced technology that effectively blocks tannins, preventing unsightly marks caused by their resurgence. It guarantees a uniform, flawless finish, even on wood that is naturally rich in tannins. Easy to sand without clogging the abrasive, Prim Gold Primer 10L hard primer also facilitates the subsequent finishing steps. It is ready to use and can be applied simply with a roller or spalter, provided that equipment dedicated exclusively to this product is used. A single coat is sufficient, with fast drying allowing recoating after just 1½ hours.
Extensive compatibility and safety in use
Prim Gold Primer 10L r is compatible with all European wood species, particularly hardwoods such as oak, beech and ash. It can also be applied to wood that has been pre-stained with suitable products from the Blanchon range.
This primer fits perfectly into a modern varnishing process, providing a stable base for durable finishes with varnishes such as Belmont®, Intensiv®, Performer®, or Initial®. It offers a coverage of 10 m² per litre, can be cleaned with water and has excellent durability, provided it is stored away from frost.
