Plastic Trigger
for 4D single-brush sanding pad
A plastic interlock is a part that is used to lock or release the spike plate to attach or remove polishing pads, abrasive discs or brushes. This latch holds the work accessories firmly in place on the sander during operation, ensuring secure attachment and preventing any risk of accidental detachment.
When it's time to change the platen or accessory, the plastic latch is used to unlock the fastening system, making it easy to remove the current accessory and replace it with a new one. This offers great convenience and makes it easy to change accessories quickly without the need for additional tools.
In terms of when to consider changing the plastic interlock, here are some signs that it may be worn or damaged and require replacement:
1. Difficulty locking or unlocking: If you have difficulty locking or unlocking the fastener, this may indicate that the plastic latch is not working properly or is worn.
2. Physical damage: if the plastic interlock shows cracks, breaks or any other physical damage, it may no longer function properly and may even break completely.
3. Excessive wear: plastic parts can wear down over time, especially if the sander is used frequently and intensively. If you notice pronounced wear on the interlock, it may be time to replace it.
4. Play or looseness: If the interlock has excessive play or does not lock firmly into place when in use, this may indicate that it is worn and no longer performing its locking function correctly.
If you experience any of these problems or suspect that the plastic latch is faulty, we recommend that you call in one of our qualified technicians to carry out the diagnosis and replace the latch if necessary. Always use original Repex Floor spare parts to ensure optimum compatibility and performance of your single disc sander.
