Overmoulded cable 4D
Overmoulded cable 4D for monobrush 4D sander (2.5MM²*3)
The Overmoulded cable in the handle of a 4D single-brush sander is a specific electrical cable that carries the power supply for the sander motor and, possibly, other electrical components present in the unit's handle. The overmolded cable is so called because it is covered with a layer of resistant material, to protect the internal wires from mechanical damage and wear.
The main function of the overmolded cable is to provide a secure and stable electrical connection between the power source (e.g. a socket) and the single-brush sander motor, enabling the unit to operate.
When to change the 2.5 mm²*3 overmolded cable depends on how worn it is and how well it works.
Here are some signs that it may be time to replace it:
1. Visible damage: If you notice cuts, tears, cracks or any other physical damage to the overmolded cable, it must be replaced immediately. Damage to the cable can lead to electrical failure and safety problems.
2. General wear and tear: Frequent use of the single-brush sander can lead to normal wear and tear on the overmolded cable. If you notice that the cable is showing signs of general wear and tear, such as abrasion marks or discoloration, this may be a sign that it's time to change it.
3. Sander malfunctions: If you experience problems with your single-brush sander, such as intermittent motor shutdowns or power fluctuations, this may be caused by a damaged overmolded cable.
It is crucial to replace the overmolded cable as soon as you notice any signs of wear or damage, to avoid any risk of accident, injury or electrical failure. To ensure user safety and proper operation of the single-brush sander, we recommend that you have the cable replaced by Repex Floor's electrical component replacement service.
